(So what else is new?)
16:16 Tax Prof: Topics have been released. Groups please sign up.
17:40 Update 1: 4/10 topics have been taken.
19:43 Update 2: 8/10 topics have been taken.
20:18 Yours truly checks email, goes "Oops"
Rant #1 Do I not check my email enough? I think a 4 hour lag time (between the time I recieve mail and the time I read it) is reasonable, yet apparently by the time I have checked my email 80% of my Tax class have already signed up!
Note to self : Check if NUS email servers have blackberry capability.
Tax Class on Tuesday: Tax Prof: All those with no groups or incomplete groups, please own up now. (4? 5? people raise their hands) Tax Prof: Ok, set. You all without groups, will be in the same group. Everyone should now have a project group.
23:25 Random tax student: Err, apparently my group only has 3 members. If you are in need of a group, please let me know.
Rant #2 Is it just me, or you should ensure you have the correct number of people in your group *before* signing up for a topic? And weren't all groups supposed to have been sorted out by Tuesday? Hypothetically, what if 3 groups of 3 are formed and all sign up for topics such that by the time yours truly got around to signing up, there were no topics left?
Anyhow, all the topics (even the ones left) sound interesting and fun, so all's well that ends well.
